To receive one of these grants the prospective recipient must fulfill all of the following requirements:

  1. be a student member both of the IEEE and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society prior to submitting travel grant application,
  2. be the author or co-author of a paper accepted at the conference,
  3. must have contributed to at least 50% of the research presented in the accepted paper,
  4. actually attend the conference and present the paper,
  5. be a student (or have been at the time of paper submission deadline) and carry at least 50% of a normal full-time academic program as a registered undergraduate or graduate student in a regular course of study.

Only one student author per paper will be awarded a travel grant and a student can receive only one travel grant of any type per year.
